A meeting with the participation of leaders and representatives of local religious associations was held in the Regional House of Friendship.
The initiative for the event was taken by the Department for Religious Affairs of the Akimat of the Kostanay Region.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the session was attended by the Secretary of the Kostanay Diocese, Hieromonk Gennady (Burdyozha).
Present at the meeting were staff of the regional Department for Religious Affairs and representatives of religious associations of the region.
The session considered current issues of interaction between the state and religious organisations, strengthening traditional values and fostering spiritual harmony in society.
A separate topic of discussion was the observance of ethical norms amid the development of modern information technologies and the use of artificial intelligence in the religious sphere.
Participants visited the offices of ethnic and cultural associations based at the Regional Centre for Public Accord, where they familiarised themselves with the national culture of the peoples of Kazakhstan.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere with a shared tea gathering.
