Natalia Lukyanovna Sivakova

(1872 - 1941) – Martyr

Commemoration on January 11 (December 29 O.S.) in the Assembly of New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.

Born in 1872 in the city of Aktyubinsk. In the 1930s, she lived in the city of Mirzoyan.

On January 21, 1937, she was arrested by the NKVD of Mirzoyan together with the priest Konstantin Matveyevich Konkov, whom she assisted in the "Old Church Tikhonov community."

On January 31, 1937, the NKVD troika of the South Kazakhstan region sentenced priest Konstantin Konkov and Natalia Sivakova to execution by shooting.

However, the death sentence was later changed to 10 years of imprisonment.

The materials of the archival criminal case indicate that Natalia Sivakova died in February 1941 in prison from a heart defect.

She was canonized as a saint and martyr at the Bishops' Council on August 13-16, 2000, upon the recommendation of the Almaty Diocese.
