(? - 1929) – Priest, Hieromartyr
He was the rector of the Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin in the village of Nadyezhdenskaya, Vernensky Uyezd, Semirechensk Region (now the city of Issyk).
The closure of the Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin in the autumn of 1929 turned into a great tragedy. The Cossacks of the village actively resisted the sacrilegious actions of the godless authorities, and mounted police were brought in to suppress them. Several dozen parishioners were arrested, and the priest was killed.
Hieromartyr Roman was glorified as a saint at the Jubilee Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
