Alexandra Mikhailovna Smolyakova

(1880 - 1942) – Martyr

Commemoration on February 7 (January 25 old style) in the Assembly of New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church, as well as in the Assemblies of Voronezh and Lipetsk Saints.

Born in 1880 in Lebedyansky Uyezd, Tambov Province (now Lebedyansky District, Lipetsk Region).

In 1939, she was convicted under Article 58-10 of the RSFSR Criminal Code and sentenced to 10 years in a labor correctional camp.

She served her sentence in the Akmolinsk Division (ALZHIR) of the NKVD Karlag. In the camp, she was arrested again and was involved in the group case "Case of Evdokia (Andrianova) and 11 prisoners. Akmolinsk. 1942."

On April 20, 1942, the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Karaganda Regional Court at the Akmolinsk Division of Karlag sentenced her to execution.

The sentence was carried out, but the exact date of execution and place of burial are unknown.

She was rehabilitated under the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 14, 1993.

She was canonized among the saints of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church for universal church veneration in August 2000 at the Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church.
