(1876-1918) – Priest, Hieromartyr
Commemoration Day on September 16 (September 3, O.S.), in the Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.
Born in 1876 in Novgorod Province to a psalmist's family. He completed 2 classes of the Novgorod Theological Seminary, but due to lack of funds, he became a teacher in the school of the village of Kulizino, Valdai County, on October 1, 1884.
Upon arriving in Turkestan on March 25, 1895, he was assigned as a psalmist to the church in the village of Kolpakovka, Lepsinsky County, by the resolution of Bishop Grigory. On October 4, 1902, he was transferred to the city of Pishpek. On June 18, 1903, he was ordained a deacon by Bishop Paisius, and on September 22, he was ordained a priest and assigned to the parish in Arasan-Kopal, Semirechenskaya Region, and as a law teacher at the women's 3-class Kopal school. For his efforts in the general census, he was awarded a silver medal on June 23, 1897.
He died in 1918 during the fratricidal turmoil.
