Commemoration day: December 8 (November 25 O.S.) in the Synaxis of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.
Hilarion Maksimovich Solovyov was born in 1868 in the village of Kavelino, Dmitrievsky Uyezd, Oryol Governorate.
In 1931, he was administratively exiled to Kazakhstan. While residing in the village of Maikuduk in the Karaganda region, Solovyov continued his ministry as a priest, conducting baptisms, funerals, and festive services at home. For his anti-Soviet propaganda, Father Hilarion Solovyov was arrested in December 1937 and sentenced to execution by shooting, highest possible penalty by the NKVD Troika of the Karaganda region under Article 58-10 of the RSFSR Penal Code.
The sentence was carried out on December 8, 1937.
He was glorified by the Jubilee Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
