Patronal Feast of the Church of Saint John of Kronstadt in Lisakovsk

June 14, 2026 — the feast day of Saint Righteous John of Kronstadt.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, Hieromonk Gennady (Burdyuzha), Secretary of the Kostanay Diocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saint John of Kronstadt in the city of Lisakovsk, which was observing its patronal feast.

Concelebrating with the Secretary were: Archpriest Oleg Kalmykov, rector of the Church of Saint Righteous John of Kronstadt in Lisakovsk, and Deacon Tarasy Takenov.

The liturgical hymns were sung by the choir of the Saints Constantine and Helen Cathedral in Kostanay under the direction of E. Yakusheva.

Following the Prayer Behind the Ambon, a procession of the cross took place around the church.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Secretary congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the occasion of the patronal feast and delivered a sermon.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, and in recognition of his labors for the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan as well as in connection with a milestone anniversary of his birth, Hieromonk Gennady presented the rector, Archpriest Oleg Kalmykov, with the Medal of Hieromartyr Pimen, Bishop of Verny and Semirechye.
