June 24, 2026 – the commemoration day of the Holy Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas.
Archbishop Barnabas of Pavlodar and Ekibastuz celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the main church of the Pavlodar Diocese – the Cathedral in honor of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Pavlodar.
Concelebrating with the Ruling Bishop of the Pavlodar Diocese were: Archpriest Igor Popov, Dean of the Ekibastuz Church District; Archpriest Konstantin Kutasevich, Dean of the Nativity of Christ Church in Pavlodar; Archpriest Alexy Stepanov, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration and Dean of the Pavlodar Church District; Archpriest Vladimir Trubachenko, Dean of the Terenkol Church District; Archpriest Oleg Mironov, Rector of the Elijah Church in the village of Peschanoe; Archpriest Victor Demitrichenko, Rector of the Dormition Church in the village of Uspenka; Priest Sergiy Golubnichiy, cleric of the Annunciation Cathedral; Priest Alexander Malygin, cleric of the Peter and Paul Church at the women’s monastery of the same name; Priest Vyacheslav Fomenko, Rector of the Elizabeth Church in the village of Shcherbakty; Priest Dmitry Ronin, Rector of the St. Nicholas Church in the city of Aksu; Priest Anatoly Basalaev, cleric of the Iveron-Seraphim Cathedral in Ekibastuz; Priest Dmitry Arkaev, Rector of the St. Nicholas Church in Pavlodar; Priest Andrey Andreev, Rector of the Alexander Nevsky Church in the village of Irtyshsk; Hieromonk Pavel (Kuzyakin), Rector of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Zhelezinka; Priest Vasily Tkachuk, Rector of the Church of All Saints Who Shone Forth in the Russian Land in the settlement of Solnechny; Deacon Ambrose Taukenov and Deacon Valery Dobrokon.
The Divine Liturgy concluded with a service of glorification to the Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas. Afterwards, Archpriest Alexy Stepanov addressed the archpastor with congratulatory words on behalf of the clergy and faithful.
Archbishop Barnabas warmly thanked the clergy and believers for their congratulations on his name day and delivered a sermon.
The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, sent his congratulations to the Ruling Bishop of the Pavlodar Diocese:
“On this festive day, I share with you the joy of this celebration and prayerfully wish you unfailing spiritual and physical strength, the grace-filled peace, spiritual joy and the almighty help of God in your further archpastoral labors on the blessed land of Kazakhstan.”
