Diocesan Council of the Kostanay and Rudny Diocese Holds Regular Meeting

July 8, 2026. Kostanay. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Kostanay and Rudny Diocese was held at the Bishop Timon (Rusanov) Administrative and Spiritual-Cultural Center.

The meeting was chaired by Hieromonk Gennady (Burdyuzha), Acting Secretary of the Kostanay Diocese.

Participating in the meeting were: Archpriest Oleg Kalmykov, Dean of the Lisakovsk Church District; Archpriest Vitaly Kleba, Dean of the Sarykol Church District; Priest Andrey Krutin, Dean of the Kostanay Church District; Archpriest Andrey Korchazhnikov, Spiritual Father of the Kostanay and Rudny Diocese; and Priest Evgeny Bikmansurov, Dean of the Cathedral of St. John the Theologian in Rudny.

The meeting was preceded by a Prayer Service invoking the help of the Holy Spirit before the beginning of every good work.

Before the session began, Hieromonk Gennady presented the agenda, which focused on current matters concerning the life of the diocese.

During the meeting, an ordination candidates’ commission was also convened, after which the participants met with applicants from the Kostanay Diocese seeking admission to the Almaty Orthodox Theological Seminary.

The members of the council exchanged views on improving spiritual and educational work at the parish level and reviewed the current activities of the diocesan departments.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Hieromonk Gennady thanked the members of the Diocesan Council, the heads of diocesan departments, the deans, and the parish rectors for their dedicated service and the work they had accomplished.
