July 12, 2026 – the Feast of the Holy, Glorious and All-Praised Chief Apostles Peter and Paul.
The celebrations in honor of the heavenly patrons of the city were led by Archbishop Vladimir of Petropavlovsk and Bulayevo.
His Eminence celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the square before the Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, concelebrated by the clergy of the diocese.
The liturgical hymns were sung by the Combined Diocesan Choir under the direction of A.A. Zatay, together with the Cathedral Choir directed by O.N. Prokhorova.
The sermon before Holy Communion was delivered by Priest Mikhail Berezin.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a procession of the Cross took place around the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul. During the procession, a Prayer Service was celebrated for the land of Kazakhstan, for all the people of the country, for the prosperity of Northern Kazakhstan, and for the continued development of the region.
The Many Years was proclaimed for His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, the Head, bishops, clergy, and faithful of the Metropolitan District in Kazakhstan, as well as for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the civil authorities, the armed forces, and all the people of Kazakhstan.
At the conclusion of the service, Archbishop Vladimir addressed the faithful with a homily on the meaning and significance of the martyrdom of the Holy Chief Apostles Peter and Paul.
The celebrations concluded with a festive common meal.
