February 16, 2025. By the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, an educational and developmental quiz titled “Two Capitals” was held at the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Chemolgan Station. The event was dedicated to the hero cities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
Participants of the quiz included students from the Sunday schools of the Almaty Diocese.
Before the intellectual competition, E.A. Avdeeva, a representative of the Russian House in Almaty, delivered an introductory lecture on the history and significance of Russia’s two capitals.
For the next two hours, the children engaged in a multi-stage quiz, which included tests, problem-solving challenges, and tabletop games.
As a token of appreciation, each participant received board games and books from the Almaty Diocesan Administration and the Representative Office of Russian Cooperation in the Southern Capital.
