On March 16, 2025, in Almaty, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a screening of the artistic-documentary film “Mama’s Letter” will take place in the Church Assembly Hall of St. Nicholas Cathedral.
The film was created with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia by the creative team of the SPAS television channel (General Director – B. V. Korchevnikov) in collaboration with the film company Amalgama Studio and with the support of the Maternal Happiness Foundation, which has been successfully combating abortion for many years.
“Mama’s Letter” is the first full-length artistic-documentary film dedicated to the protection of unborn children’s lives. The project not only raises the important issue of abortion but also offers various solutions to this problem. The dramatic narrative of the film is interwoven with documentary segments featuring professionals from different fields—psychologists, lawyers, obstetricians-gynecologists, and clergy—who share their experiences and discuss how they encounter the issue of abortion in their respective work.
Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. The screening begins at 4:00 PM. The Church Assembly Hall of St. Nicholas Cathedral is located at 56/5 Baitursynov Street.
