Youth Clubs and Sunday Schools of the Metropolitan District Took Part in the Online Quiz “Countries and Peoples: The Korean Peninsula”

On April 6, 2025, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, teams from youth clubs and Sunday schools of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District took part in the mini online quiz “Countries and Peoples: The Korean Peninsula.”

The competition, organized by the Educational Ministry Commission of the Astana Diocese, concluded a series of five games under the common title “Countries and Peoples,” which were devoted to Christianity in Serbia and Montenegro, Greece, Mexico, and the Republic of South Africa.

The quiz included twenty questions on the history and culture, as well as the religious composition, of the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Based on the results of the intellectual contest, the following teams were recognized as winners and prize recipients:

First Place

• Radonezh (Church of All Saints, Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan)
• Little Radonezh (Church of All Saints, Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan)
• My Joy (Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov, Chapaevo village, Almaty Region, Kazakhstan)
• Galilee (Church of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg, Konaev, Kazakhstan)
• The Joy of Faith (Sts. Sebastian and Magdalene Church, Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan)
• East Express (Church of St. Vladimir, Chemolgan Station, Almaty Region, Kazakhstan)

Third Place

• New Generation (Ascension Cathedral, Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan)
