The International Educational Campaign “Victory Dictation” Held in Almaty

April 25, 2025. Almaty. The international educational campaign “Victory Dictation” was held at the building of the Almaty Orthodox Theological Seminary.

The event, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was organized by the Almaty Theological Seminary and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Southern Capital.

The campaign is held in 90 countries around the world, and the test tasks for participants are available in more than ten languages.

The purpose of the “Victory Dictation” is to raise young people’s interest in the events of the Great Patriotic War, to give them an opportunity to test their knowledge of this tragic period in history, and to learn new information about forgotten heroic deeds of their ancestors.

The intellectual competition was attended by students of Sunday schools, representatives of youth clubs, and parishioners of the churches of the Southern Capital.

The event was hosted by Rustik Gappasov, a student of the theological seminary.

The age of the contestants who took part in the dictation ranged from 12 to 68 years.

The test consisted of 25 questions about key events and heroes of the Great Patriotic War, and participants were given 45 minutes to complete it.

Following the campaign, all participants received certificates for taking part in the intellectual competition. The list of winners will be published in June 2025 on the official website of the “Victory Dictation.”
