May 11, 2025 – Astana. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a festive concert titled “Pascha the Great” was held in the main concert hall of the spiritual and cultural center named after the Equals-to-the-Apostles Saints Cyril and Methodius.
The event was dedicated to the Feast of the Radiant Resurrection of Christ and the Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War.
The evening opened with a welcoming address from Archimandrite Sergiy (Karamyshev), Dean of the Astana Church District. Father Sergiy conveyed the blessing of the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan to those gathered and congratulated the performers and guests on the occasion of the Great Victory and Holy Pascha.
The celebration featured members of the Astana Orthodox Youth Movement and the dance ensembles of the La Dance Complex studio. More than 400 people took part in the event.
The audience enjoyed a vibrant concert program, including dance performances, musical-theatrical scenes, and wartime songs.
At the conclusion of the evening, the performers were thanked by Priest Sergiy Dianov, head of the Astana Orthodox Youth Movement.
