On January 25, 2026, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Educational Mission Commission of the Astana Diocese held an international youth online quiz titled “The Artistic Culture of the Arab-Muslim World.”
The online competition, organized by the commission, continued a series of four events under the title “World Artistic Culture,” dedicated to the heritage of the great civilizations of the Christian and Arab-Muslim worlds.
The quiz included twenty questions on architecture, writing, and the decorative and applied arts of Arab peoples.
Teams of school and university students from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan took part in the intellectual competition.
Based on the results of the quiz, the following teams were recognized as winners and prizewinners:
First Place

The next round of the Internet Carousel, “Countries and Peoples,” dedicated to ethnogeography and the geography of religions, will take place on February 15, 2026. The quiz questions are available on the website of the Orthodox Internet Carousel.
