Children’s Quiz “From the Kremlin to the Reichstag” Held at the St. Vladimir Parish in Chemolgan Station

On May 3, 2026, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, a schoolchildren’s quiz entitled “From the Kremlin to the Reichstag,” dedicated to Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, was held at the St. Vladimir Parish of Chemolgan Station.

The event, organized by the Commission for Educational Ministry of the Almaty Diocese, brought together teams from diocesan Sunday schools.

Before the intellectual competition began, V.G. Safonov, an instructor in basic military training, demonstrated examples of military equipment and gear to the children.

The participants then answered questions related to the history of the Great Patriotic War, solved tasks, and took part in board games.

Following the results of the multi-stage quiz, the winning teams were those of the Iveron Church in the settlement of Boraldai and the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the village of Baikent.

Prize places were awarded to pupils of the Sunday school of the St. Vladimir Parish at Chemolgan Station and the Nativity of Christ Cathedral of the Southern Capital.

All participants received badges, board games, and books dedicated to the history of the Great Patriotic War, donated by the Almaty Diocesan Administration.
