Children’s Camp “Radonezh 2026” Concludes in the Petropavlovsk Diocese

From June 30 to July 5, 2026, with the blessing of Archbishop Vladimir of Petropavlovsk and Bulayevo, the multi-day hiking camp “Radonezh 2026” took place.

The camp was led by: A.V. Fadeyeva, Deputy Director for Educational Work; B.R. Fakhrutdinov, Assistant Director; and Deacon Vladimir Bartol.

The event brought together 50 students of the St. Sergius of Radonezh Diocesan School in Petropavlovsk.

Throughout the six-day program, the children lived in a tent camp equipped with a field kitchen and dining area.

The daily schedule included morning prayers, physical exercises, sports training, and creative activities.

During the camp, participants acquired practical outdoor skills, learning how to pitch tents, build campfires, cook in field conditions, and navigate unfamiliar terrain.

The program also featured football, volleyball, and pioneerball competitions, logic and board games, as well as the military-patriotic game Zarnitsa.

As part of the camp activities, members of a historical reenactment club visited the campsite, introducing the children to examples of medieval weapons and equipment, and conducting workshops in archery and the basics of swordsmanship.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the organizers, each day of the camp was filled with engaging activities, leaving all the children with many warm and lasting memories.
