July 21, 2026. With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the Educational Ministry Commission of the Diocese of Astana (Chair – Archpriest Sergiy Kazimirov) has begun preparations for the new season of the international youth quiz “Orthodox Internet Carousel.”
The project’s website has published the schedule of the upcoming intellectual competitions between teams from the Sunday schools of the parishes of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan District, as well as participants of the “Alpha and Omega” Orthodox youth movement of Kazakhstan and their peers from the CIS countries and the European Union.
The Orthodox Internet Carousel is an online team intellectual competition covering a variety of subjects. Using the Internet, participants are presented with a series of tasks that must be solved correctly while following a strict sequence of actions. Each competition is limited to seventy minutes.
During the academic year, Orthodox youth will take part in seven quiz competitions. The first, entitled “Over the Gospel,” will be held on September 27.
