August 31, 2026. The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, congratulated Olzhas Abayevich Bektenov on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The congratulatory address reads, in particular:

In leading the executive branch of government over the past years, you have distinguished yourself as an experienced and far-sighted statesman committed to the dynamic development of the economy, improving the quality of life of the population, and addressing pressing issues of national importance.
The fact that you have once again been called to this high office testifies to the profound confidence placed in you by the President of the country, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, and represents recognition of your service to the state. The period ahead presents the Government with new and ambitious objectives, the achievement of which will largely determine the well-being of the people of Kazakhstan and the continued progress of our Fatherland.
I deeply value the good relations that have developed between the state authorities and the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan.
