August 31, 2026. The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, sent a congratulatory address to Yerlan Tynymbayevich Karin on the occasion of his appointment as Vice President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
Highly esteemed Yerlan Tynymbayevich!
Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on your appointment to the high and responsible office of Vice President of the Republic of Kazakhstan!
For many years, while holding various responsible positions in public service, you have devoted considerable effort to the development of the country’s social and political sphere, strengthening dialogue between the state and society, and consolidating civil institutions in the country.
You have now assumed this high office, which testifies to the great confidence placed in you by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, as well as to the support your candidacy has received from the country’s deputies. A broad field of activity now lies before you, together with serious and far-reaching tasks requiring resolution.
I am convinced that the constructive cooperation between the country’s leadership, the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, and the public will continue to contribute to the social, economic, spiritual, and cultural development of the Republic, to the preservation of interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony, and to the affirmation of enduring moral ideals and traditional family values in the lives of our contemporaries.
I wish you, highly esteemed Yerlan Tynymbayevich, good health and longevity, blessed success, and the abundant assistance of the Almighty in your labors for the good of Kazakhstan.
