September 17, 2025. Astana. Within the framework of the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in the capital of Kazakhstan, a meeting took place between His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ and the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly.
The Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, also took part in the meeting.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and the Supreme Mufti discussed issues of strengthening interreligious harmony and promoting spiritual values in society.
The interlocutors exchanged views on Orthodox–Muslim relations in Russia and Kazakhstan.
