Bishop Klavdian of Taldykorgan took part in the Forum of Religious Scholars and Leaders of Religious Associations “The Path of Spiritual Accord: Implementing the Ideas of the Congress”

October 22, 2025. Taldykorgan. The republican forum of religious scholars and leaders of religious associations on the theme “The Path of Spiritual Accord: Implementing the Ideas of the Congress” was organized and held at the “Palace of Celebrations” by the Department for Religious Affairs of the Zhetysu Region.

With the blessing of the Head of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the forum was attended by Bishop Klavdian of Taldykorgan, Vicar of the Astana Diocese, and clergy of the Taldykorgan Vicariate.

The event was attended by officials of the regional akimat, members of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Bishop José Luis Mumbiela Sierra, head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of the Holy Trinity in Almaty, heads of regional and city departments for religious affairs, directors of centers for the study of religious issues from various regions of the republic, religious scholars, theologians, representatives of the KNB Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhetysu University, the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture “Nur-Mubarak”, the scientific and cultural center “IHSAN”, deputies, and journalists from both state and private media outlets.

The forum aimed to broadly clarify in society the topical issues discussed at the 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, as well as to facilitate experience exchange.

As part of the event, Deputy Akim of the region D.R. Yesdauletov presented a number of participants with a “Letter of Appreciation from the Regional Akim” for their contribution to promoting peace and harmony among the population, and for their work in preserving historical, cultural, religious, and spiritual values.

Among the awardees were Bishop Klavdian of Taldykorgan and clergy of the Vicariate.
