A Gift from the Eleos-Meirim Public Foundation to the Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov) Spiritual and Cultural Center in Almaty

In the throne hall of the Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov) Spiritual, Cultural, and Administrative Center, a meeting was held between Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan and the President of the Eleos-Meirim Public Foundation, V. M. Kapsamun.

Participating in the meeting were Secretary of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Choir Director of the Metropolitan District of Kazakhstan, and member of the Patriarchal Council for the Development of Church Singing O. N. Ovchinnikov; Rector of the Almaty Orthodox Theological Seminary and Head of the Information and Publishing Department of the Metropolitan District, Candidate of Theology Archpriest Evgeny Ivanov; Head of the Administrative Secretariat of the Metropolitan District Priest Georgy Sidorov; as well as staff members of the Almaty Diocesan Administration and of the Eleos-Meirim Foundation.

During the meeting, V. M. Kapsamun presented the Metropolitan Joseph (Chernov) Center with a Smart TV to be used for cultural and educational events and online conferences.

The Head of the Metropolitan District expressed gratitude to Valery Mikhailovich for the valuable gift and then chaired a working discussion with those present, addressing ways to support diocesan social and charitable initiatives and the work of Orthodox Sunday schools in Kazakhstan.
